You are lucky. It is unfortunately normal to
have weird thoughts about “what if” or “why” after such an event. After the accidents I was in, I was terrified. I’ve never been quite the same, since I did experience pain and fear.

Thoughts will come. Just try to keep calm and grounded. Enjoy life, since you’re still here! Happy Thanksgiving!

Controlling you thoughts and your perceptions of your experiences is what life is all about. You can look at your “accident” experience as evidence that you are always protected and safe and feel comfort, or you can dwell on the idea that you “almost” were killed and experience fear and uncertainty. The incident that happened has little to do with it, your perception of what happened will determine if it is a positive or negative in your life.

i was reading ur story , and it sounds just like my accident last October… the only thing is that i wasn’t laughing, i was just shocked, scared and lost ….and i still have it in the back of my mind every time i m driving especially driving past the place where it happened…and till this day i m not fully sure what exactly happened in those couple of seconds …. i m glad to be alive, and i do sometimes wonder what if i got hurt or even worse … but just be thankful that u walked away from it , and car is only metal which is replaceable and u r not … hopefully one day those thoughts will go away …

You can believe or not but i was hit by a drunk driver while going home at around 4 or 5 in the morning and i did not drink all this time. But when the guy that hit me came to the door and said,”I’m so sorry”, he smelled so bad of alcohol. HE had been drinking since 5pm until a short while when the accident happened.
When i saw him coming on my lane, all i could picture was my car blowing up…and i quickly just turned the wheel so it would not be a full ‘front’ hit. Lucky there were no cars coming on the drives side passing me.
When the police came, my body was still shaking, the police said it was in shock from the impact.
To make it short, i did not want to drive for over a year. I took buses etc.
When i did start to drive again, i did panic when i was on a two lane only road. The first time it happened, i did panic. It is getting easier now…after 20 some years.
You will get your mind wondering in the ‘what if’ area. It is normal and it is something like ‘an after shock’ that is happening to you. Since you did not get hurt, it will be easier for it to go away i believe. (i got hurt in several ways).
Think of it as ‘an after shock’, NOT, sadistic thoughts………maybe that will help you not to feel you are doing something wrong.
I am glad you are here………take care.

It’s quite normal for u came out of massive destruction without any injury to urself, while ur car got the major brunt of the whole situation. I’d say it’s a miracle that u survived such a accident and I’m happy that u r alive and safe. I’d suggest u not to worry more over wat has happened so take this incident with a pinch of salt and move on. God must have something in his mind with respect to u maybe u need to serve some more on this planet.

All u do is take this situation and learn from wat indeed happened, it’s good that u don’t want to die and neither r u afraid of death so don’t worry u’d not die this early. Ur life has just begun and it’ll be great but don’t make it worse by thinking the unnecessary or futile things like wat if u had died or had got decapitated for it won’t solve a thing but only make u decapitated mentally. Now we don’t really want a mentally challenged Chigga right?

So focus on positive things and think positive get ur thouts involved in the charity work u do or u can go to the hospitals and try cheering people up or help the ones who r needy and have met accidents.

The moment u start to get back to ur accident take gods name and say ur thanks and divert ur mind from that to the charity work, girlfriend, parents, food, television, games, kids, whichever fancies u more. The main idea is to divert ur mind from the accident and teh thots of “wat if ”

All will be well in no time. It’s a phase which will pass away in a matter of days but never forget the lesson from ur incident. Now u will know how safe u’ve got to be on the road while ur driving. See things that have to happen to us indeed happen one way or the other. So if u had to die that day believe me u’d have but ur times just not up yet. So thank god and move ahead to lead a great life.

Once u die why do u even need to think wat wud happen ?? it’s done and over with for u and not for u to worry about. So does it make any sense to think wat if i die ? Somebody like u will take ur role and start the work u r doing or maybe do it a bit differently each day so many people take birth and die but each one has to do their own stuff just the way ur doing urs right now.
